What is Spiritualism?
To be spiritually aware one has to have an understanding that there is ‘something’ or, ‘someone’ of a Higher Nature than himself/herself.
This then will automatically begin the process of seeking another soul in a dimension other than the one they presently reside in.
The fundamental purpose of that known of as, The Spiritualist Movement, is to recognize the highest aspects of life of all religions; bringing it all together in such a way as to easily pinpoint the common denominator in them all.
Spiritualism and Science are merely two sides of the same coin. In the Original Concept, they were truly seen as one, and you all know what happened when man split the atom! It is the same principle, and most definitely the same result in its own field of thought.
What is Philosophy?
Philosophy is, in simple terms, a way of reasoning to get us all through life. This is my own definition of it, but then I am a simple soul and think it best to give simple definitions wherever possible, then everyone can become enlightened. However, there are other definitions, and mean the same thing if you think about it.
If then philosophy is a way of getting us all through life, then it must mean philosophy belongs to everyone. This must mean that everyone has it in his or her make up. In other words, we are all philosophers. So, the potential for deep thinking is within the grasp of all, and not just for those ancient Greeks; Aristotle; Plato etc:..
Thos were the days before TV; Sky; Computer Games; The Internet etc:.. Therefore they all had plenty of time in which to share thoughts and feelings with each other. This enabled even further thinking on what was discussed, so deepening thoughts accordingly.
Nowadays, these discussions tend to be confined to the little box in the corner of the room (not so little in some cases). Here, you have a group of say, 5/6 people, with goodness knows how many others watching, probably feeling somewhat frustrated because they cannot have their say, so adding to the dialogue. This would have broadened their minds bringing out the deeper and hidden knowledge, which lies in the sub-conscious, and the unconscious part of the mind.
As each of us has our own philosophy within, therefore we all have differing ideas on a certain subject, this is what the discussions will do, they will bring out these differences of opinions, won’t they.
At this stage in our history, we are now on the ’in-breath’ stage. In a state of change from outer expansion to an Inner Implosion. The Inner/hidden is fast becoming the outer, exposed in life. We are noticing more, thanks to the media etc:.. The world is coming into our very homes, invading our private lives. Except our private lives are not to be private for much longer. The unknown must become the known. The light of Truth is now shining upon the darkness of ignorance, and is therefore exposing it in many ways, bringing so many aspects of life into the public arena, some of which we wish NOT to know, because it is offensive to our sense of reasoning. However, we have to realize the Light of Truth has no favourites. All are equal in the Light of Truth.
When we have reached inside us, and have come to know the ’real us’, then we are at the Essence of our Existence, and so are at the Essence of All Existence. We have then become immune to everything, and can simply look on, without becoming touched in anyway shape or form. Other than this our emotions would become involved to a large degree. So at the present stage we are going through, if we are to be in any way successful in our endeavours in coming through this implosion, we must learn to control our emotions. We must have personal responsibility. This is so on all levels.
There are new laws even now being drawn up to assist with this process for those who really have no control of their own. One reason for this is they have not been brought into contact with their own essence of existence - or, higher/true self.
Sometimes it can be almost impossible to make even initial contact with the higher/true self. It does then take much dedication and commitment to find it, much the same as any other aspect of life we would wish to study. Only through the study of a subject can we come to truly know and understand it.
There is a saying that the mind of man is indeed very complex to understand. If you are in the centre of a situation, which is ongoing, and surrounding you on all sides, then you really will find the solution very far away from being found, as you would not be seeing the entire picture, it would be an impossible task. All you could do then, is to publish your findings, and a dialogue on those findings would then commence.
However, if you were to go into a hot air balloon and slowly rise up over and above the situation, you could begin to see more of the situation, you could begin to see more of the situation the higher you rise. The time then comes when you would be so high you could easily see the whole problem and maybe see the solution, and being so high up, you would be seeing the solution as so very simple.
That is fine all the time you are up in your hot air balloon. However, once you begin to lower the balloon you would then gradually lose sight of your, simple solution as the situation would once again surround you. The final solution of course, would be to get as many from the situation as possible to go up in their balloons, then the situation would soon become so diluted, it would cease to exist at all.
If you would not be happy at not having the problem around, then one part of your consciousness would soon arrange for there to be another scenario in its place, and it would all begin again.
There would not have been any progress made, only you will have by then, created problems in another area, where there were none. In other words, all the time we are on this level of understanding we shall never have peace. Maybe by going through what is about to come we will, one-day say, ‘this is enough’ and leave the situations in which we find ourselves. Then we would KNOW peace for ourselves - even if it would be for a short time.
Once having had the experience of peace for ourselves we could then share it for short bursts of time with others around us, who also would benefit from a short break in the turmoil of life.
