As you may know, I like to use Tarot cards as focusing images to meditate upon and manifest goals and dreams. Thinking about the new year, I have created a Tarot visual board to help us connect to prosperity and success, using the archetypal power of the cards, that speak both to our conscious and our unconscious mind. If you click on the image it will come out bigger. I suggest you copy, paste and print the board and then laminate it.
Meaning of Images:
First card, left column: the magician. All success starts with knowledge of self, our abilities and the confidence to use them properly, according to time and place. The image invites you to take stock of all you have to offer through your skills, experience and education and see yourself using them successfully in all your endeavours.
Second card, left column: seven of swords. This cards remind us that sometimes we must be shrew and astute: keep our senses open to know when is the best moment and manner to act that would give us the most advantage. That said, the card does warn us that true success is ethical and cheaters and conmen are always find out. It also tells us that sometimes we have to give. Not all things are possible at a particular time and the more flexible is our view of success and prosperity, the more likely we are to achieve them.
Third card, left column: ten of coins. The card brings images of wealth, security, home and family. Coins are many a times associated with the body and health, thus the card is a good reminder that prosperity also include care of physical self. There is a danger, though, the card tell us, that material security may separate people a bit, and that families may become a group of people living under a roof, so there is an invitation to work in relationships, and create time and experiences to enjoy prosperity with loved ones.
Third card, right column: king of coins. The card asks us to see ourselves not only as creators of prosperity, but also as successful managers of it. The King of coins is also known to use his wealth and resources to promote cultural and social values, to enjoy fine things yet remain down-to-earth. In business, the king is cautious optimistic, hard working and always in the lookout for knowledge or opportunities. The card does warn not to be greedy or too materialistic, as well as to beware of tendency towards authoritarianism and disconnection with those in need.
Second card, r
ight column: six of wands. Victory. The card ask us to see ourselves overcoming all obstacles and achieving our goals. Yes, there are challenges, in some cases even struggle. but we have the vision, energy and endurance to be steadfast and give it our all for our cause. We are winners: our destiny is to win. The card demands inspired action and enthusiasm to co-create our success and prosperity.
First card, right column: three of cups. Celebration. Life is for living, the card says. There is no point in accumulating wealth, in being successful, is we don’t take time to enjoy the fruits of our efforts. The celebrations are usually communal: with friends, family, peers. The card also tell us that in the creation of prosperity, meaningful relationships are important. Think networking, professional associations, master mind groups.
Once you are familiar with the meanings, visualise yourself in each situation described in the cards. How does the magician applies to you, or the King of coins? Can you see the dangers implied in the seven of swords or ten of pentacles? How could you overcome them? How could you make the message of community in the three of cups work for you? What foreseeable challenges in the six of wands can you see in your own path toward success? After you have done this long visualisation, use the image as reminder of all those elements of prosperity and success. Tell yourself a little story: here I am, the Magician, using this and that skill to achieve my goals. Here I am connected to my shrewdness, to my intuition and power of analysis. I have confidence I can choose the correct timings and actions to achieve my desire…and so forth.
You can also use the image as a focus point for affirmations, meditation and prayer. For example, once you have learned the meanings and done the first visualization, look at the board everyday and say the following prayer: I am a child of Spirit and prosperity and success are my birthright. I have been entrusted with gift and abilities, with visions and ideas and it’s my divine purpose to will them into reality. I ask Spirit (or your name for the Divine) to guide me and hold me; to remind me that my success is the success of many; that the fruits of my achievements belong to me and the world. The more I give, the more I have, for I am connected to the Source of Infinite Love and Life.
I hope this vision board serves as inspiration to all and may you have a truly wonderful 2014.
