An Open Letter To Capricorn For July 2025
Dear Capricorn,
I trust you are keeping well my dear friend. Week one of July starts with an indication you might encounter, how can I characterise it, “broken communications”. This might correlate to an eagerly anticipated delivery going astray. Or items damaged whilst in transit. Alternatively, it might indicate a regular commute is hampered in some way, perhaps by mechanical breakdown or human incompetence. Nor can I discount the possibility that personal communications - via email, phone or social media - might become overly personal, and to some degree fractious or too intimate. Consequently, you might find the whole experience uncomfortable and the subject matter of the entire conversation totally inappropriate. This is such a shame because you start the week feeling very buoyant and in an optimistic mood. You are completely oblivious to any inhabiting conditions or factors, only to be thrown “off track”, so to speak, by an anonymous authority figure who niggles away at some of your most cherished beliefs and opinions in a most subtle manner. Now, I don’t want you to get too upset or worried because in the overall scheme of things these trends and potential developments are only small fry. Nevertheless, they might take the shine off things a little.
Changing tack to more conducive potentialities, a minority of my readers might get swept off their feet and fall head over heels in love with someone they meet for the first time. However, think twice before you invest too much emotional capital in this individual because some of their hidden character traits might become annoying after a short while. Best take your time and regard it as an enjoyable - but brief - romantic fling. But not the “real thing”, if you get my drift.
Mars in the Ninth House sextile both the Sun and the Greater Benefic in the Seventh House bodes well for groups of friends traveling together to overseas destinations, especially if you all travel with an open mind and intend to embrace the best a new and exciting foreign culture has to offer. Remember to pack your sun tan lotion and why not try something completely different this year? Perhaps a visit to a museum or a world heritage site would fire your imagination. I know this might sound boring and it's not what you usually do but - looking on the bright side - it would spare you one stomach churning hangover, so it might be a suggestion worth considering!!
Moving on to the second week of July. Someone you know, possibly an old school buddy goes out of their way to impress you with tales of their achievements. Perhaps they wear a distinctive uniform or some kind of protective clothing while at work. Anyway, they are trying to talk you into something completely out of the ordinary, and want you to sign on the dotted line, so to speak, and commit yourself irrevocably to something about which you have serious reservations. It’s not for me to make your mind up for you, but please don’t allow yourself to be cajoled into doing something you may later regret.
Readers currently active in an established relationship may spend more time debating their future together. Items on your itinerary may centre around children; family mobility; healthy outdoor activities or a visit to a show home on a new housing development. The more adventurous of my readers may do something like visit a marina and consider buying a yacht, canal boat or catamaran. Going hand-in-hand with these preoccupations might be a visit to a financial expert to help you finance your future plans.
Changing tack completely, have you ever considered going into business for yourself? Pluto in the house of personal finances sextile Saturn conjunct Neptune (business inspiration) sextile Venus conjunct Uranus (radical insights about hair & beauty, cosmetics, fashion, art, design, jewellery) in the 6th house (personal service to others in return for a financial reward) might add up to a new way of improving your financial situation. Concurrently, both Sun and Jupiter are in the house of business partnerships; while Pluto is in the house of personal finances, both Venus Uranus signifying - among other things - business agreements/plans/partnerships formulated between friends. Now, I’m not telling you what to do: I’m just floating an idea for you to consider. That’s all.
Moving on to the third week of July. Powerful new changes and transformations impact home and family values for a minority of the Capricorn community. These, for the main part, are wholesome and constructive. However a fleeting Moon opposition Mars square Venus aspect might correlate to sharp words spoken in anger and later regretted. Now, it's impossible for me to tell if you are the one losing your temper or just a passive witness to an angry exchange of opinions. But it shouldn’t last long (fingers crossed).
Changing direction again: a far more conducive and wholesomes aspect pattern to consider, is the one formed by Mercury, Venus and Mars. It's potentially great news. Venus the Lesser Benefic might signify potential good luck and happiness transmitted via Mercury and empowered by Mars (assertive individualism) to all around. A kinda “love bomb” to be experienced and enjoyed by all. I shall keep my fingers crossed for you.
Finally we arrive in the fourth week of July. But before I try to outline some possible scenarios for you to read and evaluate; please allow me to ask you two questions.
Q1 Are you conscious of worrying more?
Q2 Are you conscious of blowing small problems out of all proportion and worrying excessively about things over which you have no personal control?
I suspect a lot of my readers are going to nod their heads and silently say “yes” to themselves. What could be causing all this anxiety, I ask myself. I have an idea and I suspect the answer might be age related. So will you please humour me and cooperate in doing a little experiment.
If you're over 50 years of age will you read PROPOSITION ONE first, and ask yourself if it rings true.
However, if you are under 50 years of age will you read PROPOSITION TWO first, and ask yourself if it rings true.
PROPOSITION ONE:
You turn on the TV news and you are exposed to harrowing pictures of human suffering. So you switch channels in the hope of finding something light-hearted to watch and everything is fine until the first commercial break comes along. Then what happens: BANG! You are hit in the heartstrings by distressing images of helpless and defenceless animals suffering at the hands of cruel owners. Switch channels again and before too long there’s another commercial break and you will be exposed to distressing images of children suffering preventable illnesses, exploitation or worse. And much of this distress is inflicted upon you in the name of Charity!!
Charities have a right to appeal for financial aid. I applaud their noble intentions. Furthermore, I saluted the dedication and courage of their frontline workers and officials. However, I have some misgivings about the unintentional psychological damage they may inflict on a minority of their potential donors. Please allow me to stress that I'm not about to advocate the imposition of inhibiting legislation, or anything else that might reduce their ability and freedom to effectively appeal for donations and financial support. However, I am appealing to the directors of powerful charitable organisations to set a good example. Please act responsibly and implement a degree of compassionate self-regulation, designed to reduce the emotional impact such distressing visual images might have upon emotionally sensitive individuals.
PROPOSITION TWO:
Your main source of anxiety are social media influencers, many of whom are currently promulgating World War 3 hysteria. Firstly I am eager to reassure any of my readers who are fretting excessively over the proclaimed “inevitability” of a military conflict engulfing the world, as it did in 1914 and again in 1939. Try not to take all the scare-mongering too seriously. Although it is possible; it is NOT inevitable. The world has lived on a nuclear knife-edge since the two nuclear detonations over Hiroshima and Nagasaki brought WW2 to an end. Indeed, the fears of nuclear war intensified exponentially during the Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962. The threat was real; the fear was palpable, nevertheless, the confrontation de-escalated. The Russian ships transporting the missiles to Cuba turned around and sailed home. It was a very tense situation. But it had a happy ending. Both the USA and Russia remained at loggerheads. Nevertheless, both sides acknowledged that to press the nuclear button would be suicidal. There could be no winners. Indeed, both sides acknowledged that a nuclear exchange would be M.A.D. (An acronym for Mutually Assured Destruction).
But back to Astrology.
The July New Moon will enable many of my readers to bring closure to emotional heart-ache. Furthermore, many of my readers will experience a “healing balm” of comfort and reassurance; which reduces your susceptibility to distress and anxiety. You can move forward in your life by committing to love, nurture and respect yourself more. Additionally, endeavour to fear the future less. Be kind and forgiving to yourself and others. Remember, no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. In fact it’s all just part and parcel of the human condition. In short: July brings closure to a lot of bad stuff. So gratefully accept the cosmic gift you are given and try your best to enjoy yourself more.
Well, I think that’s me all written out for this letter. But before I go I want to remind my readers that nothing in astrology is written in stone: astrology indicates only possibilities and potentialities, not cast-iron certainties. No astrologer gets it right all the time. Like pollsters in the run-up to a General Election or financial advisors trying to anticipate movements on the stock market, we can only try our best. Perhaps Nostradamus hit the nail on the head when he observed that “no man can comprehend the will of God”.
Of course if you - dear reader - are an atheist or agnostic the last sentence will be discounted as utter BS. I imagine you will be irreversibly wed to the intellectual concepts of empiricism and postmodernism: if you can’t measure it, poke it, kick it, smear it on a petri dish or reproduce it at will in a laboratory, it doesn’t exist. Right?
But in my book Life is more magnificent than it first seems at surface level. In the final analysis - be you a Crowned Monarch or a bus driver - we are all merely pawns on the chess board of Life: an Eternal Spirit struggling to cope with the trials and tribulations of being human. But enough of this theological speculation. Let my final words for this letter be: “Bye bye” and “God Bless and Protect”.
