Nail in the Coffin
You are quite aware of the economic downturn over the last two years. So many people cannot get jobs; job layoffs are a daily occurrence, and small businesses are closing left and right. The situation is critical, and this is a depression that is far worse then the one that occurred in the 1930’s. There are more people living in the United States then there were back in 1930, less work, and the average person has huge credit debt.
As if the situation was not bad enough, what has occurred with the tornadoes devastating most of the Midwest in April is the final nail in the economic crisis.
Why do I say this?
Millions of businesses were destroyed; millions of people lost their jobs, and millions have lost their homes. There is no way that the government can rebuild what has happened due to the tornadoes. The government has not been doing a good job of rebuilding the economy before the tornadoes.
Now the farmers are unable to plant crops because of the massive flooding due to the excessive rain during the tornadoes and also the ice melting from the severe winter storms. These farmers likely will lose their farms and will not be able to come back next year and continue their farming business. There will not be food to feed the animals such as cows, chickens, and pigs.
This is going to bring about food shortages not just for the United States but for many other countries that the United States supplies food to.
It is time to start thinking about what can be done to help the United States recover from the effects of the tornadoes along with the already crippled economy. For the average person there is not a lot that they can do and especially for those who have lost so much during the tornadoes. This country needs leadership that addresses the critical situation and starts focusing on this country and its immediate need instead of wasting billions of dollars a day in wars when that money can go to rebuild the country and help the millions of people who have been left devastated. The lack of true leadership is destroying a once great nation.
When will the people unite and demand that the government stop needless wars and help their own people? Wouldn’t that be a wonderful thing to see? Of course the odds of that happening are very slim. Too many people still believe that their government tells them the truth and that their government is there for them. Ask the victims of hurricane Katrina if that’s true! Six years later and they still have not recovered!
Wake up and strengthen the things that remain!
“Too many leaders act as if the sheep.. their people.. are there for the benefit of the shepherd, not that the shepherd has responsibility for the sheep.”
Ken Blanchard
“The price of greatness is responsibility.”
Winston Churchill
“Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.”
Aldous Huxley
“We don't need a weakened government but a strong government that would take responsibility for the rights of the individual and care for the society as a whole.”
Vladimir Putin
